Advent calendar – 2018 Memory Lane – 6: 29 passports
Today Finland is celebrating Independence Day. Finland is 101 years young today and for all the Finnish Digitalists it means a day and night of celebration. For us, it is a reason to think about something we are really proud at Digitalist, as this year we have reached another important and interesting milestone. As some of you may be aware, Finnish passport is considered to be one of the most valuable ones in the World. But at Digitalist, we value diversity of cultures and diversity of passports much higher than certain nationalities and passports. And thus we are very happy that this year we have a record amount of passports from different countries amongst our employees, as the staff of Digitalist Group holds 29 different passports.
We believe, that Finland can be successful if the World is successful in Finland. Diversity and different backgrounds and cultures give us so much and make us better, stronger, more creative. It affects our company culture and our values. You can see it in day-to-day life at the office. Sometimes it feels even a little bit odd to open a conversation by a group of employees and see that all messages are in English, though everyone in the group speaks Finnish. But then it makes you smile, because it is a manifestation of how internationality is something that is at our core. And we couldn’t be happier about it!
29 passports! Today we are celebrating Finland’s 101 years. Our Finland is multicultural and international. Just as the whole World should be.
